Vimond Partners with FASTLY for High Speed CDN

Vimond Media Solutions has entered into a commercial partnership with Fastly, the real-time CDN that’s redefining content delivery. Vimond now offers the benefits of Fastly’s technology, enabling an end-to-end solution for customers.

Bergen,Norway(14 Mar 2016)

Fastly is the only content delivery network that gives businesses complete control over how they serve content, unprecedented access to real-time performance analytics, and the ability to cache frequently changing content at the edge. Their secure, global network allows enterprises to increase revenue and improve customer experiences across their websites and mobile applications while maintaining fast, consistent, and reliable performance.

The combined solution processes live (or on demand) video streams using popular video formats, the moment the video is requested by a user. Fastly clients include Twitter, Vimeo, Imgur, GitHub, Shazam, Pinterest, and The Guardian, among others. Vimond customers include Nordisk Film.

“It’s great to be able to package Fastly’s CDN into our service when customers want a complete service,” said Helge Høibraaten, CEO of Vimond. “Combining the Vimond platform with the high performance of Fastly is a great basis for an outstanding online media service. And one of the core technologies that makes Fastly so rapid – Varnish – actually originated in Norway, so that’s a little extra common ground for this partnership.”

“Fastly is changing the way video and content in general is delivered to users, across multiple networks and devices. Our partnership with Vimond enables us to reach more customers, and to leverage Vimond’s video stack in our solution,” said Lee Chen, head of streaming at Fastly.
