ipercast Partners with Adswizz to Deliver Targeted Pre-Roll and In-Stream Adverts for Web Radio Stations
A partnership formed between content management and delivery specialists ipercast and Adswizz, a leading provider of online technology and solutions to the online advertising industry, will provide radio stations throughout Europe with a unique solution
London, UK(01 Jul 2010)
ipercast, with its worldwide 20,000km optical fibre network, can provide any radio broadcaster with a complete advertising solution, inserting targeted ads directly into their audio streams. The system also allows both video pre-roll and video MPUs to be served in real time accompanying the audio to any end user device such as a traditional PC, smartphone or even the iPad.
Radio broadcasters are given complete control of their advertising schedule and can use criteria such as the time and place of listening, the device used to listen to the stream, and the bandwidth available to the listener to deliver tailored ads. This allows the station to maximise their ad revenue by offering advertisers the opportunity to reach a specific target audience.
Jean-Michel Laveissière, CEO of ipercast, comments:
"The evolution of the internet from a dial up service to today's superfast broadband has enabled audio and visual content to be streamed and encouraged the growth of free web radio supported by advertising. This partnership with Adswizz will enable us to offer anyone streaming audio content to effortlessly monetise their audio by attracting advertisers wishing to target the specific audiences the station is able to provide."
Patrick Roger, VP Global Sales & Marketing, Adswizz, comments:
"ipercast has a strong global presence and an excellent reputation in delivering content securely to both the web and mobile devices. The Adswizz system will not only allow ipercast to enable radio broadcasters to monetise their content but they'll also be able to serve accompanying real-time video pre-roll and video MPUs to traditional PCs, smartphones and even iPads."
