Birmingham(18 Jul 2018)

Friend MTS, the content and revenue protection specialist, today announced that it has been selected by the World Boxing Super Series to provide security against streaming piracy for the upcoming Cruiserweight final, which will take place in Moscow on July 21 2018.

Said Comosa AG:

"With a major Pay-Per-View (PPV) event like the World Boxing Super Series, it's imperative to stop content theft. We’re very proactive in securing our content, and work closely with our broadcast partners to vigorously tackle illegal redistribution by pirate services."

Friend MTS has provided content protection for the World Boxing Super Series from the start of the tournament, and it will be securing the final using its global content monitoring and take-down services. The PPV boxing series receives global coverage through multiple tier one broadcasters.

Simon Williamson, Chief Commercial Officer at Friend MTS commented: "Friend MTS has deep experience of working alongside rights holders and broadcasters to protect premium sports content, and we're delighted to be supporting another very exciting World Boxing Super Series final".

The World Boxing Super Series involves a total of 16 elite boxers from two weight classes, Cruiserweight and Super Middleweight, who have faced each other in 14 separate fight nights in a bracket-style elimination tournament. The upcoming Cruiserweight final will involve Russian Murat Gassiev against his Ukrainian opponent, Aleksandr Usyk, in a fight at the Olympiyski Sports Complex in Moscow. The World Boxing Super Series is owned and organised by Comosa AG.

Friend MTS works closely with many of the world’s largest media and entertainment companies to secure their content against streaming piracy. Its services protect premium sports and entertainment, including live channels, PPV events and on-demand assets. The company’s Emmy Award winning service portfolio includes automated, global channel monitoring using fingerprint-based content recognition, and this integrates with its ASiD watermarking, which is the most widely deployed subscriber-level watermarking in the world.
