Video streaming like never before: in real-time from roads

DailyRoads LIVE - Kickstarter campaign to implement real-time video streaming from moving vehicles

London, United Kingdom(19 Mar 2015)

Building on the success of their dashcam Android app, DailyRoads have launched a Kickstarter campaign to implement real-time video streaming from moving vehicles, a service named DailyRoads LIVE. The system targets existing and future users of the app as the primary source of video content, offering a world's first such service for viewers.

Drivers will continue to use the app as before, capturing road events on video for their own benefit. Those who enable the streaming option will feed their location through the system, to be displayed on a map. Anybody can select a vehicle from the map and initiate video streaming, effectively connecting to the driver's dashboard camera in real time. The system benefits not just individual drivers and viewers, but on-demand real-time video streaming is also very useful for better monitoring fleets from commercial entities, emergency services and various government agencies.

Robert Fejer, founder of DalyRoads and architect of the system says "After 5 years of development, 25 released versions and 3 million downloads, a tipping point has been reached with DailyRoads Voyager. There are now enough drivers on the roads using our app, to make DailyRoads LIVE interesting and content-rich."

About DailyRoads

Based in London (UK), DailyRoads developed in 2009 the very first dashcam app for Android. Continuously improved since then, DailyRoads Voyager is still the most popular such app, based on downloads, rankings and general usage. The app has reached top 10 positions in a number of countries in the Play Store's transportation category. DailyRoads have already started building a database of road videos, the long-term goal being the largest free database of such videos from around the globe. A vehicle tracking system is also planned, to complement existing services and integrate with DailyRoads LIVE.
