Velocix Highlights Programmatic Video Advertising, Ultra-low Latency Live Streaming, and Hybrid-Cloud at IBC 2019

Enables service providers to maximize the value generated from every video stream

Cambridge, UK(05 Sep 2019)

Velocix, the world’s leading provider of content delivery, origin and storage, and stream personalization software, today announced it will highlight programmatic video advertising, ultra-low latency live streaming, and Hybrid-Cloud video architectures at IBC 2019 (13 – 17 September 2019, stand 5.C28).

  • Programmatic Video Advertising

Velocix’s CDN and stream personalisation platform interfaces with online ad exchanges to enable the programmatic selling and placement of ads into individual video streams.  Service providers can target specific audience profiles more precisely, enabling 50% higher ad revenues to be generated from the same ad avail inventory.

  • Ultra-low Latency

The company’s ultra-low latency (ULL) video technology reduces the delay associated with delivering live adaptive bit rate (ABR) content to broadcast TV levels or better, ensuring the best quality of experience for live sporting events and news programming.

  • Hybrid-Cloud Video Architectures

Velocix’s new content delivery network architectures lower scale-out costs by using cloud-hosted resources to support temporary traffic spikes associated with live events.  Hybrid-cloud designs improve efficiency, accelerate time-to-market, and provide flexibility by presenting an alternative to dedicated infrastructure.

Jim Brickmeier, Chief Marketing Officer at Velocix, said: “At the IBC show this year, Velocix will be discussing how service providers can maximize the value they generate from every stream, by better monetising viewership, delivering a higher quality consumer experience, and building a more efficient video network.  With our latest technology, we are helping our customers boost the business case for video by optimizing the performance of the end-to-end content delivery network.”

Velocix's carrier-grade content delivery solutions are designed for live, on-demand, time-shifted video and cloud DVR applications, enabling operators to scale-out premium multi-screen video applications with confidence.
