The 2021 version of the Hydeout festival is the first one to be held fully digital. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers had to cancel the traditional Hydeout festival but insisted on offering a digital alternative, which became the platform Hydeout: The Prelude. The platform unites music lovers worldwide to experience a fully digital music experience, featuring artists like Rita Ora, DJ Snake, Wiz Khalifa, and Martin Garrix.
The platform’s main highlights are 40 on-demand artist showcase episodes. Each episode includes exclusive performances in virtual worlds with 3D stages or secret live locations around the world. The performances are then delivered via live and on-demand streams to the platform users. In addition to that, the platform offers live social interaction in the form of games and chat rooms to connect the viewers with each other and their favorite artists.
Organizing the technical production and set-up of the live and on-demand digital music platform is done by HydeNSeek Entertainment.
