Sky News Now Available on Roku

Saratoga, Calif. and LONDON(24 Jul 2013)

Today Roku® announced the launch of Sky News on the Roku streaming platform, enabling millions of Roku customers to access live broadcast news from Sky directly on their TVs. 

“Sky News offers award-winning news coverage from the U.K. and the rest of the world, and we are thrilled to make their programs available to our customers,” said Steve Shannon, general manager of content and services, Roku. “Sky News is a great addition to the Roku Channel Store as we continue to expand our leadership in the news category.” 

The service, which is available for free starting today, delivers live 24/7 news including breaking news and headlines from business, politics, entertainment and more to all Roku customers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Ireland. In addition to the live feed, customers can catch up on specific stories any time with the extensive on-demand news library.

Sky News joins a wide selection of news services currently on Roku including CNBC Real-Time, Fox News, NBC News and WSJ Live.
