NeuroMedia presents the new version of its product CasterStats
A hybrid solution that delivers the best in audience measurement technology currently available on the market.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands(14 Sep 2017)
NeuroMedia Software presents a preview of CasterStats version 5 at IBC Amsterdam, the largest European digital TV and radio show. Unseen before in the market, this audience measurement solution for radio and IP TV offers a hybrid approach to data collection, which exploits the benefits of both client-side and server-side measurement.
Client side, server side
Thanks to the insertion of trackers on the player's page, coupled with the call for web services in the dedicated mobile application, customer-side measurement has the advantage of being able to determine the exact behaviour of the user: detailed capture of all activity makes it possible to actually objectify what has been viewed and listened to. In addition, server-side measurements directly exploit the logs generated by the streaming servers and the events (connections and disconnections). This method allows the measurement of 100% of the audience. It is also very tolerant of failures, processing can resume where it stopped after restart.
Technology of the future
NeuroMedia brings together all of these elements in CasterStats 5: the two methodologies are used simultaneously and the best of each is exploited to ensure a comprehensive audience measure combined with a quality of information superior to all alternatives. Server-side measurement ensures completeness and availability. It provides the base data that is then enriched by the client-side measurement. CasterStats5 is also used for real-time reporting of the audience.
This new technology opens up many perspectives: "This hybrid mode of operation forms the basis of a future transmedia measure that will combine the consumption of the contents of the different platforms such as radio, television, internet, cinema and even video games" reveals Pierre Mengal, co-founder of NeuroMedia. "The specificity of this approach even makes it possible to offer the institutes of studies that work for the competing media groups an option of anti-falsification checks of the data."
Available on the market soon, CasterStats 5 will be on display at the IBC show in Amsterdam from 14 to 19 September (Awex booth: hall 10 stand D31), where NeuroMedia Software teams will demonstrate the solution.
