MuxIP Appoints David Flack as Managing Director of European Operations

MuxIP, a leading provider of automated solutions for ad-supported streaming, today announced the appointment of David Flack as managing director for European operations. Flack, based in London, will help develop engagements with producers and broadcasters

Los Angeles, CA(03 May 2023)

MuxIP, a leading provider of automated solutions for ad-supported streaming, today announced the appointment of David Flack as managing director for European operations. Flack, based in London, will help develop engagements with producers and broadcasters across Europe and the UK for FASTHub, MuxIP’s cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) solution that rapidly encodes, packages, and distributes channels – including broadcast, satellite, and digital – to any OTT platform, TV device, or application.

Flack was formerly EVP of Viacom Media/MTV Networks International, based in Europe and Asia, where he headed creative and content. Previous to joining MuxIP, Flack was head of UK business for Alchimie, the publicly-traded OTT video-on-demand (VOD) channel aggregator. Prior to that, Flack was a creative series producer for Entertainment One and an executive producer for Playmobil.

Based on patented technology, FASTHub for OTT enables efficient creation of FAST channels. The recently-announced FASTHub for Broadcast converts broadcast streams to digital, enabling the rapid creation of Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels at lower costs and with greater revenue generation than competing solutions.

“We are moving from peak TV to a new realm of FAST channel entertainment, which will be well served by FASTHub, which is a game-changer for the industry,” said Flack. “I see tremendous opportunity for MuxIP in Europe and in the UK, as producers and distributors continue to embrace FAST channels for niche audiences and major brands alike.”

Flack was also a founder and partner of Singapore-based digital entertainment firm Noise Associates and was a content consultant for broadcasters and brands that include Disney, Warner Bros., WWF, and YouTube, among others.

“Our global expansion continues to attract some of the leading players in the broadcast and cable industries, who have enormous experience in launching new properties, and David Flack will help accelerate the adoption of FASTHub in the vibrant UK market,” said Tom Link, founder and CEO of MuxIP. “We see a tipping point with the FAST industry in 2023, and David’s experience will enable FASTHub to initiate the shift toward rapid FAST channel deployments.”
