Accedo, market-leading enabler of TV application solutions, and Filmin, Spain’s leading subscription video-on-demand provider, today announced a partnership to develop next generation Smart TV apps for multiple platforms.
The first official app launched under the partnership gives Samsung SmartTV and Bluray player viewers access to a subscription catalogue of 2,900 videos.
The two companies are also working together to develop next generation Video-on-Demand (VOD) apps for other platforms, and these are expected to launch in 2012 and 2013, across a number of different devices.
