CDN77 launches end-to-end live streaming and VOD platform Streamflow

Streamflow promises to reduce the complexity of video delivery for digital publishers, by housing their entire live, linear and on-demand infrastructure under one roof.

London, UK(23 Jul 2019)

CDN77 just announced the launch of its stand-alone platform for video processing & delivery. Catering to ever-expanding needs of digital publishers, Streamflow aims to reduce the complexity of their video delivery workflow, by housing their entire live, linear and on-demand infrastructure under one roof.

"The ongoing upsurge of live streaming has been changing the world of content delivery. The significant growth in demand for customized solutions goes hand in hand with the need for redundant network capacity and technical ability to deliver high-resolution videos at lower bitrates. That's why with Streamflow, we built a platform on our robust network to give publishers direct control over the whole process, from ingest to playback.” said Zdenek Cendra, founder and CEO of CDN77

Powered by 20 PoPs in North & South America, Europe and Asia dedicated to video delivery, Streamflow also promises to cut down costs and reduce technical challenges that come with reliance on multi-vendor solutions. The management of all steps involved in getting the video to viewers' devices happens behind a web-based user interface, and the features included in each stage are as follows:

  • Video origin - live signal ingestion in RTMP, HLS or MPEG-DASH, VOD Storage

  • Video processing - on-the-fly transcoding & adaptive streaming, as well as DVR/Catch-up service

  • Global delivery - 20 CDN PoPs on 4 continents with DDoS protection and 14+ Tbps of redundant bandwidth capacity

  • Playback - customizable HTML5 player with dynamic ad insertion & audience analytics

  • Security - built-in DRM, secure tokens and hotlink protection, blacklisting and whitelisting by GEO or IP address

“We've been proud of helping our clients grow their businesses, and top performance has always been a crucial element of it. To take this even further, we've partnered up with Bradmax and implemented their HTML5 player into the Streamflow platform. This integration brings our clients additional options for monetization and evaluation, thanks to dynamic Ad insertion support and comprehensive analytics.” commented Tomas Bacik, CDN77's director of customer operations

Built upon their network, with 5+ Tbps daily peaks, Streamflow currently handles some 500 live events per month. The list of CDN77's streaming clients includes german broadcasting company Sport1, TEDx Prague, European Space Agency and ESET amongst others.
