Broadpeak and castLabs Partnership Develops Multi-Product Integrations For Video Analytics, Packaging & Encryption

Easy-to-implement multi-product integrations announced between key Broadpeak and castLabs products for video analytics, packaging, and encoding.

Berlin(31 Aug 2017)

castLabs, a global partner in premium digital video technology, has today announced new product integrations for their PRESTOplay video player SDKs and DRMtoday license delivery network with Broadpeak, a leading provider of content delivery network (CDN) technologies for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide.

Streaming providers stand to benefit from video analytics, packaging, and encryption integrations with castLabs’ technologies across a wide range of devices, helping create workflow efficiencies and enriching the video quality of experience for their customers. Initial joint client Portuguese telecommunications provider NOWO has given very positive feedback.

“Integrating castLabs and Broadpeak technologies puts intelligence and insight into the hands of streaming providers to improve video QoE, while also enabling efficient packaging and protection of content for secure delivery”, said Michael Stattmann, CEO of castLabs.

Broadpeak’s Video Analytics platform integrated within castLabs’ PRESTOplay video player SDKs for desktops, browsers, Android and iOS provides comprehensive data on your service users, explaining user experience, and highlighting performance issues to inform decisions around your content strategy and service delivery. Many streaming service providers use data-driven insights to increase content engagement and brand loyalty.

Broadpeak’s BkS350 Origin Packager enables just-in-time packaging and encryption of video content, reducing resource allocation needs and storage costs. License keys are ingested during the encryption process into DRMtoday.

“Through deep integrations of castLabs’ player and DRM technologies with Broadpeak’s video analytics, packaging, and delivery technology, streaming service providers can deliver with ease secure, exceptional viewing experience to their users”, said Broadpeak CEO, Jacques Le Mancq.

castLabs will be exhibiting and offering demonstrations of DRMtoday and their full range of video delivery solutions at IBC 2017 in Amsterdam between September 15-19th. Don’t delay in booking your meeting with castLabs.
