Agama Technologies, the specialist in video service quality and customer experience, will be presenting its full coverage OTT assurance solution at IBC2016. The enhanced solution creates a new level of awareness of the performance for every service, every

Sweden(01 Sep 2016)

The Agama solution for OTT services delivers complete end-to-end coverage of all stages of the service delivery chain - from ingest to edge cache and all the way to the consumption device. It offers comprehensive support for player devices, from phones and tablets, smart TVs and game consoles to set-top boxes and HTML5 players, enabling the solution to be used in the most diverse deployments. It also provides support for common formats and codecs and smoothly integrates with access control and authentication systems.

The new version further broadens applicability by adding support for HDS formatted streams, in addition to MPEG-DASH, HLS and Smooth Streaming. Its Token Based Authentication functionality enables the Analyzer OTT to authenticate itself towards edge caches for even more flexibility in deployment. The new HEVC add-on for the Analyzer OTT HE, optimised for monitoring in the OTT head-end, allows for full content analysis of occurrences such as black screen, freeze frame and macro-blocking, in conjunction with syntax validation of the video and thumbnail generation. This creates a complete solution that can validate all processing steps in the head-end.

With wide support for adaptive bitrate formats and assurance from IP level to actual video and audio content, whilst simultaneously covering all steps from head-end to subscriber, Agama’s OTT solution enables operators to optimise the customer experience and enhance operational efficiency.

“We are pleased to offer what we believe is the most complete solution for OTT video service quality and customer experience on the market, and look forward to engaging with operators and service providers at IBC,” says Johan Görsjö, Director of Product Management at Agama Technologies.
