A+E Networks UK outsources compliance and media management to TVT London

TVT’s cloud-based ContentSelect platform provides support for A+E Networks’ UK channel brands

London, UK(01 Aug 2016)

TVT, the leading independent media services and post-production house, has announced that A+E Networks UK has contracted TVT for the provision of compliance, reversioning and media management services for its channels. TVT has deployed its ContentSelect platform to orchestrate and track all media workflows including TVT’s specialist compliance viewing and editing service, ensuring it meets the highest editorial standards across all channels and with fast and efficient delivery to international playout and distribution platforms.

A+E Networks UK is home to top global media brands History, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation, and H2 and currently operates 18 channels across 45 million homes in the UK, Scandinavia, Benelux, Central & Eastern Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

Nicolas Eglau, Chief Operating Officer at A+E Networks UK, said: “TVT is an expert in this field and its ContentSelect platform gives us full management oversight of the compliance, re-versioning and media management workflow. This gives us full confidence that our shows meet the highest standards we require for our brands as well as the technical and operational standards of our broadcast partners. As we continue to grow into new regions, with more channel and new business models, working with trusted partners like TVT is vital to our continued success.”

TVT’s cloud-based ContentSelect manages all phases of the media workflows undertaken by TVT’s own in-house compliance experts, including programme versioning and compliance of commissioned content. TVT will handle both English and Polish original language content for A+E Networks. TVT is also supporting production of all foreign language subtitles and audio files as well as delivering content in multiple formats to the end distribution hubs.

Ian Brotherston, CEO of TVT said: “We will be expanding our experienced team by the welcome addition of expert staff from A+E who are moving over to join us. With the diversity of modern TV distribution platforms, compliance is a critical function that requires expertise and well established workflows. ContentSelect is designed as an extensible platform, to support organisations such as A+E Networks UK to scale up as needed and meet new flexible requirements. We are delighted that A+E has chosen to work with TVT to streamline its compliance workflow and we look forward to working with them in additional regions.
