Nativ Releases SaaS Version of Media Asset Management Solution
Offering a solution for companies that need a media asset management (MAM) system, but don't want the cost of an installed product, Nativ today announced the release of Mio SaaS. Nativ is a London-based company that creates content management and workflow solutions. Mio SaaS is the next iteration in its asset management line.
With Mio SaaS, media companies can integrate asset management into a file-based workflow without the high barrier to entry of license or project setup costs. Nativ also helps them avoid the capital expenditure risk of going with a solution that's pricey and difficult to install. There's no hardware or software to set up with Mio SaaS.
Mio SaaS is based on Nativ's established MioEverywhere platform. The solution includes integrated remote asset ingest and delivery, enterprise-level asset management, and social and collaboration features. Buyers will also benefit from the ability to repurpose and distribute content, as well as frame-accurate web-based logging.
“Mio SaaS will enable users to scale up or down as required as usage costs vary according to the volume of ingested, stored, repurposed, and distributed content," says Nativ CEO Jon Folland.
For those wanting a closer look, Nativ will show Mio SaaS at the NAB conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 8 to 11, in booth SU11621.
As part of a strategy to create a comprehensive personalized TV and video platform, Telstra's Ooyala acquires U.K.-based Nativ for an undisclosed amount.
