Hosting and webcasting company Groovy Gecko announced the 2.0 release of its Live Presentation System (LPS) today. For version 2.0, Gecko has responded to customer requests, as well as its own knowledge of what it takes create a live presentation today.

This version's improvements begin before the live event takes place, with a range of marketing tools. Customers can pre-register attendees with single-click invitation emails. They can also send event reminders and calendar invites, as well as link to social networks.

During the event, customers can take advantage of new interactivity features. LPS now supports animated slides and offers improved question moderation that supports multi-language events and can pull questions from Facebook and Twitter. Customers can also host polls during an event.

Finally, post-event features include the ability to send feedback forms to all attendees automatically and see stats on the event.

"This release represents a massive consolidation of our experience and of what clients need to effectively run their campaigns," says Eddie Robins, technical director at Groovy Gecko.

Anyone attending the Broadcast Video Expo in London between today and Thursday can get a firsthand demonstration of the upgraded LPS.
