Three-Screen TV Comes to Belgium, Courtesy of France Telecom

Starting mere months from now, in the second quarter of 2010, Belgium will receive what France Telecom is calling a "European first": a multi-screen TV service that delivers video to televisions, computers, and mobile devices.

The news came from France Telecom's chairman Benoit Scheen, while speaking at a press conference this week. Scheen didn't elaborate, so we'll have to wait to fill in the details. The service will work though Mobistar, which is a subsidiary of France Telecom that operates in Belgium.

France Telecom is active across Europe, and has interests in North America, Asia, and Africa, as well. Most divisions operate under the company's Orange brand. Mobistar is a major player in Belgian telecommunications.
