Rightster, a London-based company that offers online video technology and services, announced today that MP & Silva has selected it to manage its existing video channels and help launch new betting and sports media rights services. MP & Silva owns, manages, and distributes media rights for sports events. Its football rights portfolio includes over 10,000 hours of programming each year, which are distributed to over 500 broadcasters in over 200 countries.

Part of the agreement will see Rightster creating and managing YouTube channels for MP & Silva. Rightster will also integrate betting services for bookmakers, handle video distribution of MP & Silva content to newspapers, and provide broadcasters with live and on-demand video access.

MP & Silva says that it chose Rightster in order to maintain a technology leadership position in the sports rights market. The goal is to offer improved service to partners, as well as continued innovation.

"Part of our job is to look for innovative ways to increase the value of the rights we manage on behalf of sports federations and leagues," said Andrea Radrizzani, MP & Silva Group CEO. "We believe that online audiences will continue to grow quickly and we need to provide sports fans with the best digital solutions."
