TV Everywhere company MobiTV announced that it is working with Deutsche Telekom to extend that company's Entertain2Go streaming service. This multiscreen offering provides live and on-demand viewing, and has now completed the first phase of its rollout.

Deutsche Telekom is using MobiTV's software solution to extend its live and on-demand offerings to multiple screens including tablets, smartphones, desktop computers, and connected TVs. Deutsche Telekom has also expanded the content it offers, now streaming primetime programs and live sports events.

MobiTV notes that its software is lightweight, and that it lets broadcasters stream live and on-demand video to viewers in or out of their homes.

“Advancements in wireless technology, network quality, and content availability are changing the way consumers discover, access, and view video programming,” says Charlie Nooney, chairman and chief executive officer at MobiTV. “Consumers want to be able to choose when, where, and on which devices they view their content. Deutsche Telekom has been at the forefront of this transformation in the industry and the MobiTV team is proud to be at the core of the solution.”

MobiTV is showing its streaming technologies in hall 14, stand 160 at the IBC exhibition currently underway in Amsterdam. MobiTV introduced its TV Everywhere solution in October, 2011.
