Connecting Content Owners with Delivery Technologies

New for 2012, and building on the success of the Content Delivery Summit, this one day conference discusses the opportunities and challenges faced at every step in the content delivery chain. This year the focus is on movies and other long-form content, with keynotes from Maria Ingold, who set up FilmFlex Movies’ VOD infrastructure, and Ted Shapiro of the Motion Picture Association. You’ve been nominating and voting for the winners of Streaming Media’s EuropeanReaders’ Choice Awards throughout the summer. The winners will be announced at Streaming Media Europe’s drinks reception on Tuesday 16 October. Check the website for categories and voting details.

As for the rest of the programme, if you take a look at the agenda, you’ll notice a positive shift from previous years’ events. While we’ll still offer our fair share of panel discussions, bringing together industry experts to offer their insights into topics such as multiscreen delivery, social TV, second-screen viewing, and webcasting, the feedback from attendees has indicated less interest in ‘blue sky’ theorising and a desire for more practically-focused presentations.
