Product Description

Yospace is the world’s leading provider of server-side ad insertion (SSAI) technology for live and VoD OTT streaming.  With proven scale, its server-side dynamic ad insertion platform offers true one-to-one addressability while delivering broadcast-quality user experience.

In partnership with the UK’s biggest commercial broadcaster, ITV, Yospace successfully demonstrated server-side DAI in a live broadcast stream in 2012 – a world first, and an achievement that was recognised by the IBC Innovation Awards later that year.  Today, the multi-award-winning platform services major broadcasters across five continents and is widely recognised as the most reliable and robust at scaling to support major event traffic.  In 2017, Akamai announced that their dynamic ad insertion capabilities would be exclusively powered by the Yospace platform.

in partnership with MEDIALAAN, Yospace won a highly coveted IBC Innovation Award in 2018 for its work on reducing ad load using its Non-Linear Startover (NLSO) technology.

Events covered include the World Cup, Winter and Summer Games, full seasons of the English Premier League (EPL), Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and Aviva Premiership Rugby; Copa América, Euro 2016, RBS Six Nations Championship, Formula One and Australian Open.

Customers include: AT&T Entertainment Group in the US; Sky Media, ITV, BT Sport, Channel 4 in the UK; Sky Deutschland, TV4 and Medialaan in mainland Europe; Seven West Media, Nine Network and Network Ten in Australia.

Server-side ad insertion brings data protection into focus
For many broadcasters today protecting viewers' privacy is a priority - especially in the light of GDPR in Europe and similar moves in the US, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This has promoted a previously unheralded benefit of server-side ad insertion into the spotlight. In this article I'll explain why.
Bringing broadcast quality to OTT streaming
By David Springall, Founder & CTO, Yospace . For years, our industry has been trying to improve the video viewing experience. And for many people, this has meant improving image quality - trying to squeeze in and compress even more pixels to offer better images without congesting the available bandwidth. But it seems that a new parameter is now becoming increasingly important for improving quality of experience.
