In 2003, following the successful launch of their now-famous VLC Media Player, VLC founders decided to give birth to a new software company called ANEVIA.

Anevia (Euronext NYSE: ALANV) is a leader in software infrastructures for the delivery of live TV and video-on-demand services. Anevia products are successfully used in multiple industries, from tier 1 and tier 2 telecommunications all the way to broadcasting and Enterprise markets.

Service providers & broadcasters

Anevia is pioneering the future of video content delivery networks, giving TV viewers worldwide the freedom to watch whatever they want, whenever they want and wherever they are. Anevia allows operators to reduce storage and bandwidth usage by making Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and head-ends more efficient. Anevia solutions were natively designed to always provide the best multiscreen video experience to TV viewers (including nPVR, timeshifting, OTT & IPTV).

In its December 2013 report, MRG positions Anevia among the world’s leading vendors of broadcast and corporate content delivery networks.

Anevia’s products empower the Entreprise markets to deploy advanced video services, both live and on demand. Anevia solutions are being used successfully across all continents by hundreds of hotels, cruise ships, airlines, educational facilities, government bureaus and corporations.

Headquartered in France, Anevia is a globally active company with regional offices in the USA, Brazil, Dubai and Singapore.

Product Description

ViaMotion is a complete multiscreen Over-the-Top (OTT) video solution for telcos, broadcasters and content owners. Designed to empower next generation video CDNs, Anevia’s OTT solution includes the Viamotion Plus server for multiplexing and streaming live on-demand content over the internet using adaptive bitrate streaming.

In order to reach the widest array of devices -from PCs and tablets all the way to mobile phones, set-top boxes and connected-TVs, ViaMotion servers support all major HTTP video standards including Microsoft Silverlight Smooth Streaming, Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Adobe Flash Video for browsers and the recently standardized MPEG DASH.
