Twofour launches brand new version of EuroparlTV

London(12/5/2011) -

Leading digital agency Twofour has launched a new version of the European Parliament's highly successful official webTV channel, EuroparlTV.

The online channel, designed and developed by Twofour allows the European Parliament to connect with the 500 million citizens of the EU, across multiple languages.

The site has been completely re-designed and built to echo the European Parliament's new brand guidelines and been shaped to engage with a wider, younger audience.

New features include text and image based announcements to allow the Parliament to quickly communicate the latest news, fully customisable adverts to promote live content, and maximum editorial control for the channel authors.

The site has a clean, simple feel with a focus on navigation, increased visibility of social networking features, and page-specific RSS feeds.

The project combines Twofour's core strengths in strategy, content and technology, and is powered by MediaFreedom, Twofour's online broadcasting platform.

George Kasimatis, responsible for EuroparlTV in the European Parliament, said: "EuroparlTV has had very strict guidelines for this redesign, both in terms of design but also regarding the deadline. Thanks to the expertise of Twofour we managed not only to meet all these requirements but also to offer a substantially improved user experience to our website visitors."

Paul Tarplee, Managing Director, Twofour Digital Technology said: "This has been a fantastic achievement to launch a completely revamped and redesigned site in a very short timescale.

EuroparlTV provides a valuable resource of news and information about the workings of our European Parliament, and with this latest release we are delighted to have delivered an engaging, and simple to use interface across multiple web platforms. We look forward to adding new features over the coming months. "
