Twofour pushes MediaFreedom to the forefront of streaming technology

MediaFreedom, Twofour’s flexible media management system for broadcasting live and on-demand video has re-launched with a host of new features, providing an even better service to clients all over the world.
The platform gives brands the ability to run, manage and publish their own digital broadcasts, giving ownership and branding to the media on which their films are streamed.
Media Freedom enables management and delivery of media and metadata, a consistently high quality audience experience, an end-to-end workflow across their enterprise and greater reach with the technology enabling the support of, and delivery to, all media formats. This includes content sharing in social networks and syndication to YouTube.
The updated system also incorporates a new White Label Site offer. This provides a simple browser based front end to display, enabling content owners to have a video site at no extra cost. The white label site can be personalised and branded to suit all requirements.
Media Freedom also enables any hosted content to be viewed on any Apple iOS platform while on the go using the new Deep Link facility.
The updated system now has an automated transcode functionality that ensures that any uploaded files are fully optimised for the individual needs of the user and their viewing device/environment.
This has involved heavy investment in the latest Intel core i7 encoders that give the ability to scale as demand grows – optimising transcoding times.
