Teracue Launches New ENC-400 H.264 Dual Channel Video Encoder and Recorder at IBC 2015

Odelzhausen, Germany - Teracue eyevis GmbH, a manufacturer of IPTV and IP video systems announces the launch of the new ENC-400 H.264 fanless video encoder and recorder during the upcoming IBC in Amsterdam (September 11 - 15, Stand 9.B24). This 4th gener

Odelzhausen (Munich)(10 Aug 2015)

The core of the new ENC-400 is the dual channel H.264 encoding and recording engine. It is able to deliver multiple streams in multiple bitrates and protocols to multiple destinations. The build-in frame synchronizer guarantees stable signal processing. Both inputs provide loop through outputs and can be used for redundancy switching or as sources for two individual encodings.

“Streaming video over IP network is being used in many new application areas. We could considerably increase the performance, offering multiple streams at the same time by reducing the weight and power consumption. The compact fanless and lightweight aluminum ENC-400-PORTABLE units are ideal for mobile and challenging encoding scenarios. The encoder consumes less than 5 Watt and can even be powered by the USB port. The units are designed, assembled and supported all ‘Made in Germany’” notes Karl-Heinz Wenisch, CTO of Teracue eyevis.

Besides the latest in H.264 encoding technology, the ENC-400 features MJPEG for legacy as well. Both encoding processes can run in parallel. Just like live streaming and recording. Recorded video can be stored on the internal storage or on a USB storage device in various formats.

Addressing both broadcast and webcast use, the ENC-400 lets the user decide between different transmission protocols that fit the job best: UDP/RTP Transport Stream for ultra-low delay point-to-point connections and Multicast IPTV, RTMP/RTSP or HLS for webcasts in combination with a streaming server. Simultaneous operation is self-evident even at different or adaptive bitrates.

AES encryption can be applied for those cases where the video content needs to be protected. Even a motion detection App is built in for monitoring different areas in the video.

ENC-400 offers many more features. The encoder is the best choice for a variety of different streaming applications. The compact encoder performs according to industry standards and fits seamlessly into the Teracue solutions and interacts with all other IP & broadcast solutions.

Availability
The ENC-400 will be available Q4 2015 through a worldwide network of authorized partners.
