TVPlayer launches Community Channel

Community Channel, the only UK TV station dedicated to communities, charities and local stories, is the latest channel to launch on TVPlayer.

Community Channel owned and run by national charity Media Trust, broadcasts entertaining stories, inspiring series and pioneering documentaries. The channel helps to showcase the inspirational work of charities, new independent directors and community filmmakers through flagship series such as Brilliant Britain and London360.

The extra viewers come at an exciting time for Community Channel. The Channel launched its Do Something Brilliant campaign, funded by Big Lottery Fund, in February to celebrate the talented people and organisations across the United Kingdom doing brilliant things to make a big difference to the world around them.

TVPlayer, which has received 700,000 downloads within six months of launching, is growing in popularity due to its extended channel offering. TVPlayer can be watched online at www.tvplayer.com and can be downloaded for free from the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
