Rightster celebrates reaching 100 million YouTube views per month milestone

London, England(05 Oct 2012)

Rightster, the video distribution and monetisation specialist, today announced that it has reached an exciting milestone, delivering more than 100 million worldwide views and 100,000 social media shares in the month of September.  The company jumped to 11th position in the most recent comScore YouTube Partner Channels rankings (August 2012), up from 16thposition only three months earlier.

The Rightster multi-channel network has grown to encompass 224 channels across many news, sport, fashion and entertainment publishers including high-profile names such as ITN, the Guardian and SNTV. Much of the audience and traffic makeup is skewed towards a younger and tech savvy audience, evident in the fact that 44.2% of users are under 34 and 37.1% of video views come from mobile devices.

Rightster’s services enable publishers to develop content strategy, build audiences, manage channel operations, and monetise video via Rightster’s media sales team.  Rightster can also manage all reporting, analytics, content claims, and revenue performance for its clients. By allowing publishers and content producers to optimise advertising revenue on YouTube, Rightster drives new revenues from exclusive premium brand sponsorship opportunities, while leveraging the full suite of ad formats available on YouTube.

Charlie Muirhead, Founder and CEO at Rightster, commented: “The team and I are thrilled to have hit this milestone and we are already building on this success with recent exponential business growth.  Rightster’s software system makes the task of distributing, monetising, and promoting video content through YouTube - and other channels - simple and efficient. Content owners and publishers can rely on Rightster’s services to attract more viewers and grow their audience online, while using our media sales expertise to improve monetisation and access new revenue streams.”
