Quicklink updates iPhone App

Quicklink is already the technical leader in video broadcast solutions over the internet and with the updated release of the ever popular iPhone app they have given iPhone users a chance to fully maximise its capability with its new features. Using your phones 3G or WiFi connection the Quicklink app has now been further designed with:

  • New Safe Mode Feature: When the iPhone app is first used it automatically transmits in Safe Mode. This mode overrides the account settings and retransmits any packets lost, so you always get the best possible picture whatever challenging network connections you may have.

  • Improved video quality: Utilizing our industry leading AVC codec the iPhone app is the closest to true broadcast quality ever seen over a single 3G connection.

  • New automatic drop to safe mode in 3G: When you’re transmitting with your iPhone in 3G, the app will automatically turn to safe mode to secure a quality transmission in the field.

  • New Dimension Control: This feature will allow you to specify what dimensions you want to transmit in which can be then saved to your account.

The app also comes complete with Quicklink’s new iAPS feature. iAPS (Audio Protection System) automatically prioritises and focuses that the audio broadcast continues without breakup in clear stereo sound. When transmitting on unstable networks, a break-up of video would normally affect and drag down the audio making the whole footage weak or unusable. Quicklink’s latest upgrade of the software incorporates a new and exclusive algorithm which means that even with 10% packet loss on the line, the audio quality is maintained.

All of these elements combined provide a video capture and sending program which is generations ahead of generic consumer solutions and of course, integrating seamlessly with the rest of the Quicklink range.
