NPAW makes their alerts system the best and most reliable for online video services with an advanced Intelligent Alert System

Industry standards are improving and consumer expectations are tightening.
Barcelona, Spain(9/13/2018) -

NPAW (Nice People At Work) —a global leader in big data and video business intelligence to help media companies grow— introduces the most advanced intelligent alert system featuring reliable video streaming anomaly detection and root cause analysis using an artificial intelligence-based approach to support video platforms.

The intelligent alert system, that is part of NPAW’S YOUBORA Suite Analytics product, is said to be the best in the market, with no false alerts, and designed to help media companies to immediately troubleshoot platform errors in real time to minimize its impact on user churn.

The new system’s anomaly detector, with its genetic algorithm, does the work for video services by reading real-time data during streaming and determining which events are anomalous, and developing a root cause analysis, all within seconds. The AI-based system not only will recognize a specific configuration that determines the root cause of the play errors, but will also provide a list of the affected views empowering customer service teams for a more proactive and efficient user management. For example, when YOUBORA Suite Analytics receives 1,000 buffer ratio events over 2%, it will compare this with the regular video platform behaviour to verify if this particular event is relevant enough to proceed with a root cause analysis. The genetic algorithm with then analyze a wide range of dimensions that have an effect on that particular event to determine the root cause of the event and identify a list of the affected views.

The intelligent alert system that cannot be outdone, YOUBORA Suite offers no false alerts, covering all quality issues for any existing dimension without any sort of pre-configuration. The new system goes beyond device, OS, ISP and CDN to now also include a myriad of parameters like title and VOD/Live.

With the ultimate alerting system, video services can take this data and feed it to their technical and operations teams to both rectify issues in real time and, when made aware of a content delivery issue, take the necessary precautions to protect your users from future interruptions.

“The most common concerns among our customers’ CTOs are quality and platform performance efficiency and their impact on user retention and costs,” said Sergi Laencina, CTO at NPAW. “Having the most trustworthy intelligent alerting system will save time and allow technical teams to focus their efforts on more strategic projects.”

NPAW will be exhibiting at the IBC show (H14.11, Content Everywhere Zone), showcasing their latest releases.
