MovingImage Now Available as SaaS Solution on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform

Operating on Microsoft Azure ensures that the MovingImage Enterprise Video Platform will remain flexible and highly available at all times for customers worldwide.

Berlin, Germany(17 May 2017)

MovingImage today announced that the company’s secure Enterprise Video Platform (EVP) is now available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Operating the solution on Microsoft Azure not only guarantees flexibility and high availability for international users, it also enables them to access a wide range of services on Microsoft Azure that perfectly complement the features of the EVP, such as the text-to-speech function and image recognition services that are offered as part of Microsoft Cognitive Services.

“We made the strategic decision to cooperate with a global cloud service provider for our enterprise video platform in order to better support our many international customers,” says Rainer Zugehor, CEO of MovingImage. “We opted for Microsoft after carrying out a thorough evaluation. Microsoft Azure offers an outstanding technology. Our live-webcast application has already been available on Azure for a while. Now customers can also access our entire video management portfolio on Azure.”

With Microsoft Azure datacenters worldwide, movingimage can offer its international customers more flexibility and scalability. And for those companies that require it, the public-cloud version of EVP on Microsoft Azure can specifically be hosted in European data centers where the data is subject to European data protection regulations.

“Videos are the communication medium of the future for companies,” says Stephanie Keinert, Lead for Partner Streaming Solutions. “The high scalability of Microsoft Azure supports and complements the secure Enterprise Video Platform from movingimage.”
