The HMR5542 Professional Video Receiver was developed to complement IDC's leading TITAN MPEG Video Encoder for advanced content contribution for television programming. A compact, multi-format professional IRD, IDC's HMR5442 receiver is designed for use in professional broadcast contribution and distribution applications where multiple video formats (SD and HD), interface flexibility (Satellite and IP) and content protection (BISS) are required. The HMR5442 supports full HD up to 1080p60, and MPEG-2 4:2:2 and MPEG-4 8 and 10 bit 4:2:2 to ensure the highest content delivery performance.
The HMR5442 has been designed to meet the demanding requirements of digital satellite news gathering (DSNG) operators providing coverage of major sporting and entertainment events, as well as local and national news coverage.
