Stockholm(12 May 2016)

Bambuser, the company behind the professional b2b mobile live video platform Iris, today announces that it has received $1.5 million of investment to accelerate its expansion. This includes investment from Avicii Music AB, LMK Forward Ventures, Bluewise Ventures and Muirfield Ventures.

With mobile technology installed on over 60 million devices worldwide, Bambuser’s proven ability to grow and perform attracted high level of interest in this round of investment.

The investment will be used to fuel the company’s continued expansion, including the deployment of a dedicated sales team across key geographies, such as Europe and North America.

It also enables Bambuser to broaden their scope, by launching the second generation of the Iris platform.

By using Bambuser’s proprietary technology and products, developers, organisations and brands can integrate low-latency live broadcasting and viewing directly into their workflow or mobile app experience, in a seamless, customisable and cost-effective way. This enables them to drive engagement with their audience over time while remaining focused on their core competencies.

Jonas Vig, CEO and co-founder of Bambuser said, ‘Live video broadcasting is one of the fastest growing forms of communication and the opportunities it offers are endless. Thanks to our robust technology, smart design and end-to-end solution we aim to unlock that potential and become a technology leader by making mobile video livestreaming easily accessible to a greater number of people including organisations, and now, the developer community.’

Bambuser was founded in Stockholm in 2008. Crafted in Sweden and Finland, the company is built upon a rich Scandinavian heritage of clean and simple design paired with a robust proprietary technology.
