Agama Launches Next-Gen Analyzer OTT and New Massive Linear TV Monitoring Probe at TV Connect 2013

At TV Connect 2013, taking place in London on March 19-21, Agama will launch the next generation of its Analyzer OTT, present a new monitoring probe for high-capacity, cost-efficient linear TV monitoring, and preview upcoming version 4.4 of the Agama DTV

Linköping, Sweden(12 Mar 2013)

Agama Technologies, the video service quality assurance expert, is launching the next generation of its Analyzer OTT for adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming services as well as a new probe for high-capacity, cost-efficient linear TV monitoring, Analyzer NET 10G-500, at TV Connect 2013. In addition to these highlights, Agama is pleased to preview upcoming Version 4.4 of the DTV Monitoring Solution, with all its latest developments and additions.

Agama’s Analyzer OTT is a sophisticated ABR quality assurance probe range for fully automated QoS/QoE monitoring and testing of over-the-top video services. It offers unique depth and breadth of analysis with industry-leading concurrent capacity, combining detailed metrics on the whole ABR stack with analysis capacity for hundreds of concurrent streams down to the TS layer. With an intuitive GUI, supporting presentation and analysis of monitoring information in multiple dimensions, Analyzer OTT creates transparency and situational awareness for operators on all relevant QoE and QoS metrics for assets and their profiles by visualizing current real-time status as well as showing metrics over time.

The next generation of the product family, being launched at TV Connect 2013, introduces support for advanced content level analysis of Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) streams, which enables in-depth verification of the actual video data and visual confidence monitoring in the form of thumbnails – a valuable new capability in any HLS based OTT head-end. Additionally, Agama strengthens the Analyzer’s integration towards the central management system, Agama Enterprise Server, for more efficient correlation, troubleshooting and impact analysis capabilities in end-to-end service assurance deployments.

At TV Connect, Agama also launches Analyzer NET 10G-500, a new product for high-capacity, cost-efficient monitoring of linear TV, suitable for operators with larger service offerings and many HD channels. The new monitoring probe, already proven in commercial deployments, supports monitoring on a fully loaded 10 Gigabit network with up to 500 separate services concurrently monitored. This is done with full analysis on the IP, RTP and the transport stream layer, including TR290 Priority 1 and Priority 2 parameters, for all services all the time.

“We are excited to present our latest innovations and refinements at TV Connect 2013, all designed to provide operators with the actionable insight needed to being able to assure service quality for every customer, regardless of distribution form and player device,” says Johan Görsjö, Director of Product Management at Agama Technologies.“In addition to the highlights already presented, we will showcase upcoming Version 4.4, with enhancements across the complete product suite of the Agama DTV Monitoring Solution. News includes highly improved problem triangulation and sophisticated correlation features, several workflow and presentation refinements, enhanced reporting capabilities with increased flexibility, new role-based dashboard widgets for at-a-glance status overviews, and much more.”

Agama will showcase its complete solution for end-to-end video service assurance, including of course both Analyzer OTT and Analyzer NET 10G-500, at TV Connect 2013 in London on March 19–21.
