ATG Broadcast appointed by AmberFin as UK channel partner

London(19 Apr 2011)

ATG Broadcast has signed a UK channel partnership agreement with AmberFin, developer and producer of the iCR modular software platform that is a key component in improving workflow for content owners, broadcasters, sports organisations and post production houses.

AmberFin's iCR product range is designed for use in file-based or mixed file and video workflows. It ingests content from tape, disk or solid-state sources to a high-quality file-based master, delivers quality-control review, provides file conversion to multiple formats and simultaneously prepares multi-platform versions of video content, all within a single software environment. The modular approach of iCR enables customers to select the applications that are essential to their current business needs.

"This is a logical expansion in our strategy of supporting key manufacturers and software developers with our proven technical, sales and marketing strength," comments ATG Broadcast Managing Director Graham Day. "AmberFin iCR equipment has secured a high reputation throughout the industry both in terms of performance and cost-efficiency. It provides an ideal solution to the tasks of format manipulation and automated quality control in modern file-based production, post-production and content repurposing."

"ATG Broadcast's long experience of file-based system design and installation makes the company an ideal addition to our expanding network of distribution partners," adds AmberFin CEO Jeremy Deaner. "ATG was one of the first broadcast system integrators to recognise the great operational advantages to be gained from file-based workflow, for which our products are specifically designed."
