Stream UK Debuts Stream MP
New online media platform is built on Kaltura and uses Level 3 as its CDN.

Businesses in the U.K. and Europe have a new option when looking for an online media platform. Stream UK has released Stream MP, which replaces the company's previous VMS 2.0 video management system.

Stream MP is built on Kaltura's online video platform, and it uses Level 3 as a content delivery network. Stream UK also offers related services, including support, consulting, maintenance, and integration. The platform is aimed at businesses of all sizes.

Designed to handle a variety of video types, Stream MP supports adaptive bitrate streaming, mobile video, HD video, advertising solutions, and flexible editing, management, and user options.

"The proliferating requirement for third-party integration makes OVP the fastest moving area in our industry.  The tremendous resources that open source collaboration bring means that our online video proposition will always be cutting edge.  We're genuinely excited to be releasing the Media Platform-built on Kaltura and delivered by Level 3," says Stream UK CEO Duncan Burbidge.

Stream UK's platform already supports over 55,000 Web publishers, service providers, and developers. The company is privately held and is a Microsoft Gold Partner. Based in London, it also has offices in Madrid and Rome.
