Clients of World Television, a video communications company based in London that serves corporations and governments, have a significant new option for reaching interested viewers. The company now offers streaming to mobile devices, and will even create custom apps for clients.

Word Television is now delivering real-time broadcasting to iPhones, iPads, BlackBerries, and other handheld devices. Viewers can watch on mobile browsers or via custom apps created by World Television.

The company has been offering live mobile streaming to some clients already, and has broadcast events for Nestlé and Hublot. The Swedish Public Relations Association used World Television's live mobile streaming for its World Public Relations Forum in June.

"It's not always possible for every country to send a representative to an event like the World PR Forum-travel and distance can often be a significant barrier. Our aim for this year's conference was to make it as accessible as possible for all our key stakeholders, regardless of location," says Sylvia Nylin, CEO of the Swedish Public Relations Association.

"In addition to webcasting the event, World Television suggested that an iPhone app would allow us to extend reach further to PR practitioners on the move," Nylin adds. "It helped us to position the World PR Forum as a forward-thinking event and showcase ways that new tools can be used within the communications industry."

As a result, Nylin's organization was able to reach 20 additional countries, including far-away Australia and New Zealand.
