Shelly Palmer, Author of Television Disrupted

Producer Shelly Palmer created the concept of "enhanced television" for Monday Night Football and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and his new book, Television Disrupted: The Transition from Network to Network TV explores the implications of the rise of multicast models alongside the traditional broadcast TV framework. In doing so, he's won the praise of everyone from Mark Cuban to Consumer Electronics Association president Gary Shapiro.

In this interview, Palmer talks about one-to-many vs. one-to-few delivery systems, the nature of video advertising, and why the long tail model isn't a cure-all for the entertainment industry.
