Tangerine Global partners with Amino to accelerate customer support capabilities in North America

Integration of Amino Engage with Tangerine Global’s OTT video platform accelerates support for companies’ mutual operator customers through optimized performance data analytics and feedback

London(20 Apr 2022)

Amino, the global media and entertainment technology solutions provider, has partnered with the media solutions and network provider, Tangerine Global, to accelerate customer support for their mutual North American operator customers. Amino has integrated its Amino Engage service management platform with Tangerine Global’s CITRUS OTT video platform, enabling both companies to heighten the quality of service and customer experience for their joint Tier 1 and Tier 2 TV operator customers.

The Amino Engage’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) management solution enables Tangerine Global to enhance operator control of firmware and apps on Amino’s Android TV devices. It complements Tangerine Global’s existing centralized TV-as-a-Service (TVaaS) model, enhancing its support capabilities through tools provided to manage devices, firmware and apps. The service turbo-boosts the resolution and performance of Tangerine Global’s customer support call handling, with remote visibility of diagnostic data for the consumer’s set-top boxes and connected TVs.

"Tangerine Global is excited to partner with Amino to deploy its Android TV set-top boxes and Engage management tools along with Tangerine Global’s turnkey OTT video platform delivered to operators in North America,” said Greg Pasetta, President & CEO, Tangerine Global. “Amino’s Engage software solves many of the challenges that operators face when deploying, managing and supporting Android TV set-top boxes.”

Donald McGarva, CEO, Aferian, said: “Our relationship with Tangerine Global supports our focus on delivering managed streaming devices to our customers. We have an unrivalled heritage of deploying IP-enabled devices. Amino Engage enables Tangerine Global to manage at least one streaming device in the homes that the operator is delivering a service to – the set-top box. This solution critically allows Tangerine Global to validate video delivery to the home and the consumer TV.”

Amino Engage is a SaaS management solution providing a suite of management tools that efficiently manages and proactively supports deployed Android TV devices and apps to improve quality of service and experience. This enables operators to improve the quality of service and customer experience while keeping consumers within the operator-managed Android TV Operator Tier experience. Find out more here.
