nangu.TV and RGB Networks Provide Deployment-Ready Multiscreen IP Video Solution
Adaptive Bitrate Transcoding and Interactive Middleware Provide Operators with a Differentiated Go-to-Market Solution
Prague, Czech Republic(02 Apr 2012)
nangu.TV is proud to announce the newly established partnership with RGB Networks, a leading supplier of multiscreen and IPTV video delivery solutions. In a recent customer implementation, the nangu.TV IPTV and OTT solution has been paired with the RGB's Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) transcoder to build a complete adaptive streaming video delivery architecture.
With the pace of multiscreen deployments growing, video service providers are looking for tried and proven solutions that will reduce the complexity of the deployment while accelerating their time-to-market. Additionally, operators need to offer differentiated services to stay ahead of the competition through value-added interactive services. nangu.TV and RGB Networks have worked together to ensure the interoperability of their products for rapid deployment offering a unique solution that meet these goals.
Compatibility of the nangu.TV/RGB solution was proven in cooperation with a large Swiss operator, Swisscom Broadcast Ltd, who has purchased both products and is utilizing them to promote their managed IPTV platform. In this integrated system, RGB's VMG transcodes the video streams, delivering various multi-bitrate H.264 profiles. The nangu.TV Ingestor product accepts these streams, saves them to nangu.TV Cluster Stream Storage and delivers them to a variety of clients. This integration ensures that the streams remain in a compatible format, and that stored and live streaming content maintains the highest possible video quality, even when adapted for different devices, including set-top boxes, PCs, tablets and mobile devices, offering the end users the choice of viewing the video on any device at optimal quality.
Through this robust implementation in a live customer environment, the two companies can now offer this proven, go-to-market solution to all video service providers, significantly reducing the time required to integrate and test transcoding and middleware solutions for multiscreen IP video deployments.
"This proven interoperability offers prospective operators a wider range of options when purchasing our platform solution," said Antonin Kral, CEO of nangu.TV. "nangu.TV is pleased to add RGB Networks' transcoding solution to our growing portfolio of compatible products."
