Voddler expansion in region to help service providers deliver Quality of Experience to viewers

Stockholm, Sweden(01 Nov 2017)

Stockholm, 11 January 2017 – Voddler Group, the cloud-streaming innovator, has appointed Marwan Shehab as its new head of Middle East & Africa (MEA) operation effective January  3, 2017. Based out of Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai, where Voddler has opened a new office, Shehab is tasked with driving the company’s expansion in the region, where several significant deals are already in the pipeline.

Shehab is an industry veteran who has previously held strategic pay-TV platform development roles, most recently advising on video strategy at the Dubai based telecommunication company - du. Prior to that, Shehab held the role of content management and platforms director at the telecommunications investment firm Emirates International Telecommunications (EITL), where he managed pay-TV development strategies for its operating companies.

“Marwan is a highly respected and connected individual, which makes him a fantastic addition to Voddler’s team as we expand our reach in the MEA region,” said Adam Lewis, CEO of Voddler Group. “He brings with him extensive knowledge of the region stemming from a broad range of experience across the telecommunications, Pay TV and OTT spaces, which will directly benefit our customers.”

Shehab, who also held a variety of specialised sales and consultancy roles within the industry across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, holds a Bachelor Degree in radio and television communications from The George Washington University.

“Viewer experience is the number one priority for Voddler in the MEA region, where OTT services are faced with an extremely high demand for mobile content consumption,” commented Lewis. “VoddlerNet™, our flagship product, not only provides service quality improvements across all networks, but it also offers specific functionalities that allow additional support on mobile devices without impairing performance. We look forward to seeing VoddlerNet used by more OTT service providers in the region to guarantee the best quality viewing experience to all their subscribers, and in particular those who are using mobile devices to access content.”

An easy to integrate overlay on existing or new VOD services, it helps customers reach poorly or under connected viewers and guarantees a quality viewing experience. VoddlerNet is DRM agnostic, endorsed by Hollywood studios for its security, and supports any VOD and OTT platforms and integrated technologies.  VoddlerNet, broadcast quality everywhere, all the time.
