VBrick Adds User-Generated Content, Cisco Spark Workflows to its Rev Enterprise Video Cloud

Enhancements Enable Organizations to Speed Knowledge Transfer and Enhance Collaboration via the Rev Award-Winning Video Cloud

AMSTERDAM, ISE(08 Feb 2016)

VBrick today announced new features in its Rev Enterprise Video Cloud that bring new self-publishing and Cisco Spark collaboration capabilities to video-savvy organizations worldwide.

The Rev Enterprise Video Cloud enables organizations to rapidly unleash the power of video to educate, inform and inspire employees - anywhere and on any device - without incurring the infrastructure costs, staffing requirements and system downtime required to deploy and maintain traditional server-based, on premise products.

Cornerstone services offered in the Rev Enterprise Video Cloud include cloud-scalable video management, transcoding and file management, integrated on premise video distribution (via the Rev DME enterprise content delivery network),  internal and external VOD caching, self-service internal webcasting, globally scalable external webcasting,  an HTML 5 player, and integrated broadcast-quality video (via VBrick’s encoding devices).

This year at ISE, VBrick introduces:

Rev Create, a new desktop rich media publishing application that gives organizations new power to unleash knowledge transfer across their organizations to speed product training, sales and partner enablement, sales and employee onboarding, human resource and corporate communications to any employee, anywhere, on any device.

With Rev Create, knowledge workers and experts can use video from webcams and screen capture to create a professional-quality, rich media presentation that can be edited and uploaded to the Rev cloud.  There, Rev provides central management to ensure that organizational policies for content approval, portal categories, user authentication, security and bandwidth-efficient wide-area network distribution are implemented.

Cisco Spark Integration: Users of Cisco’s Spark collaboration platform can now easily share newly published Rev videos with other Spark users via a new integration between Spark and Rev. Users in Spark persistent rooms can subscribe to relevant Rev video categories, and receive and share alerts about new Rev videos within Spark rooms. The integration enhances collaboration among Spark users by enabling them to bring the latest Rev live or recorded videos, in addition to chat, calling, messaging, video conferencing, documents and web links, into any Spark discussion.

The integration adds to the extensive interoperability between Cisco Unified Communications solutions and Rev.  VBrick and Cisco co-developed a seamless integration between Rev and the Cisco TelePresence Content Server that enables Cisco customers to seamlessly capture video from Cisco TelePresence endpoints and convert them into a live, streaming webcast and/or video-on-demand asset within the Rev cloud. Rev also integrates with Cisco WebEx to allow Rev users to select and import recorded WebEx files into Rev for secure and scalable sharing across organizations.

“Rev gives organizations the power to unleash the benefits of video without overwhelming the corporate network, requiring huge capital investments, or requiring professional audio visual assistance,” said Shelly Heiden, CEO of VBrick. “We’ll continue to innovate so that customers can take video from any source – from desktop to UC or video professional – and integrate it as a seamless part of their mission-critical enterprise applications,” she said.

The new capabilities join a spate of innovative Rev features that solidify its industry leadership in self-service live webcasting, WAN and CDN video distribution, integration with unified communications sources, and industry-standard REST APIs for intranet, CMS, LMS, CRM, marketing automation and custom enterprise application platform integration.
