UK(3/7/2008) - The Open IPTV Forum is working towards an end-to-end specification to allow any consumer end device, compliant to the Open IPTV Forum specifications, to access enriched and personalized IPTV services.

As a consequence of this initiative the following first important results have been achieved:

The agreed Architecture specification is publicly available via the Open IPTV Forum home page and the Service and Platform requirements via the publications area (http://www.openiptvforum.org/downloads.html). These are considered important steps towards the Open IPTV Forum goals and the Forum encourages the industry to take a look at them.

The Open IPTV Forum also announced today that it has accepted the following new members:
Accenture, ANT Software Ltd, Funai Electric Co., Ltd., Quative - Kudelski Group, SES-Astra, Sharp Corporation, Sun Microsystems and Toshiba Corporation.
