The CMO Council's Email Marketing Campaign Succeeds with ON24 Rich Media Webcast

Influential Marketing Affinity Organization Increases Awareness and Summit Registrations with ON24 Rich Media Webcast

San Francisco, CA(20 Feb 2007)

ON24 Inc., the global leader in webcasting and rich media marketing solutions, today unveiled the results of an ON24 Rich Media Webcast initiative for the CMO Council, a peer-to-peer network affinity organization for senior marketing and brand decision-makers. With over 3,000 members responsible for a cumulative $70 billion in annual marketing expenditures, the CMO Council turned to ON24 to better promote the Council's San Francisco and London summits in 2006.

To distinguish the email promotions from the Council's other marketing messages, the Council shortened the content of the email with an invitation to view a video message from a well-known marketing colleague. With ON24 providing strategic counsel, production know-how and ongoing support, the CMO Council developed four rich media webcasts promoting the San Francisco Summit and two rich media webcasts for the London Summit.Lasting from 1.5-2 minutes, the streaming videos had distinct spokespersons, each conveying specific messages, with links to view the summit agenda or register.

The first email promotion incorporated a video message from Cammie Dunaway, CMO of Yahoo, who underscored the networking opportunities and brainshare at the Summit. The CMO Council experienced a 99% open rate - a nearly 50% increase over other email messages. Thanks to the ON24 rich media emails, by the time the fourth email invitation was sent out, the Council had 235 paid registrants for the 300-registrant event. When leveraged for the London Summit, the CMO Council similarly experienced a 45% increase in interest after sending out the emails.
