Streaming Media Europe Show Announces Final Programming

New York, NY(9/23/2006) -

With less than three weeks to go to the London launch of Streaming Media Europe the line up of sponsors and supporters indicates that organisers Information Today can look forward to a successful roll out of their acclaimed US event.

Streaming Media Europe takes place on 12 & 13 October at Copthorne Tara Hotel and addresses the European need for how-to information on streaming and audio and video digital media technologies.

Positioned at the intersection between business and content, the 2-day conference and exhibition examines the selection, integration and management of streaming and digital media and, through a series of keynotes, master classes and conference sessions, aims to equip attendees with tips, strategies and practical advice that they can apply within their own organisations.

"The emphasis of Streaming Media Europe is strongly on practicalities." Comments Conference Chair and Executive VP of StreamingMedia.com, Dan Rayburn,

"Streaming is hot and has changed the way all companies do business. We're hoping that Streaming Media Europe will be one of the most productive weeks in the year for those keen to learn about new technology, the value of applications, emerging business models and ways to stay ahead of the game. ?

A look at the final programme seems to support Rayburn?s enthusiasm, with tracks covering tools, technology and trends for industries as diverse as broadcast, education, enterprise, government, advertising and communications.

Speakers are drawn from a range of global blue chips already implementing or utilising streaming and digital media to good effect, notably Paul Costelloe, Head of Corporate IT at Prudential and Richard Griffiths, Director of Technology Strategy & Development at BT Vision among others.

The parallel 2-day exhibition is sponsored and supported by industry leaders in the rich media value chain, including VectorMax, VitalStream, Stream UK, Groovy Gecko, datpresenter, Limelight Networks, Savvis, Arkena, Vividas and Mirror Image.

The event web site carries full programme details and online conference registration facilities. Free exhibition passes are also available at www.streamingmedia.com/europe
