Slingbox 350 Available in the U.K. and Nordic Countries

Slingbox 350 Provides Live and Recorded Television Content Anywhere in HD-Quality on the Most Popular Mobile Devices

FOSTER CITY(27 Sep 2013)

Sling Media Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), is launching the Slingbox 350 in the U.K. and Europe, and it will be available to customers through leading retailers and online, beginning Friday, Sept. 27.

The Slingbox 350 is a completely redesigned retail Slingbox product, first introduced in the U.S. market, which delivers best-in-class, HD-quality live viewing of favorite TV shows, sporting events, recorded programming and premium content to smartphones, tablets, laptops and connected devices.

“Slingbox is the best way to extend the entire living room television experience anywhere, and we’re very pleased to bring this new model to European customers,” said Michael Hawkey, Sling Media’s vice president and general manager. “We’ve redesigned Slingbox from the ground up, creating one of the highest-performing products on the market. With this new product introduction, Sling Media continues to evolve and disrupt the category we created.”

European consumers are finding new ways to watch television but are confused by the many options in this highly fragmented market. Only Slingbox delivers their entire living room television experience, regardless of where they are and without additional subscription fees.

With the SlingPlayer application, sports fans can watch their teams’ live rugby, cricket or soccer matches – on a tablet in the kitchen or on a smartphone in another country – in real time, as the action happens. Business travellers can watch their favorite TV programs or recordings and local news when they’re away from home or while on vacation. Busy parents can catch up on recorded shows while waiting to pick up their children from school or during free time throughout the day.

Slingbox makes it easy for European consumers to watch their favorite shows on the go, using the portable devices they already own and love.

How It Works

The Slingbox 350 offers Sling Media’s highest quality, proven “TV Anywhere” technology at a cost-effective price. The Slingbox 350 features HD-quality viewing on compatible devices, making it a value leader. The sleek, industrial design combined with integrated IR emitters makes it a compact, unique and easy-to-use addition to any home entertainment centre.

The Slingbox 350 replaces the Slingbox SOLO and joins the Slingbox PRO-HD as the two models available in the European market. To learn more about the Slingbox 350 and SlingPlayer software, go to:  http://uk.slingbox.com/go/home.

Customers in other European countries can purchase the product through Sling Media’s online store at http://uk.slingbox.com/go/home.
