RAIDIX Releases RAIDIX 3.2 new version
RAIDIX announced release of RAIDIX 3.2 new version for data storage system design.

A RAIDIX 3.2 new version of the software release is available from 10.06.2013. A number of significant changes have affected the functionality of the product - the new version provides enhanced system capabilities for users, facilitating significant increase in productivity and work quality improvements.
For example, the product can now create an array of a new level - RAID 7.3, enabling data restoration in case up to 3 drives in the array fail. This unique feature of RAIDIX product improves the reliability of arrays with a large number of disks significantly. The new RAID6 and RAID 7.3 calculations algorithm, characterized by high levels of performance, extends the use of RAIDIX product, which can now work on most systems released in recent years.
RAIDIX 3.2 uses a mechanism of partial reconstruction of the RAID array, enabling a recovery of only a selected area of the hard disk, containing corrupted data. This feature can significantly reduce the recovery time, up to 2000 times! Besides that, a new way of detecting a concealed data damage (Silent Data Corruption) was added, allowing to eliminate hidden errors on the discs in real-time. Settings for detection of concealed data damage can be are adjusted directly from the user interface. This technology is recommended when using SATA drives that don't have internal control of data integrity.
Support for 16GB ATTO adapters was added to the product. Adapter support is available for external connections, and for internal synchronization while in the dual contoller mode. This means an increase in the maximum capacity for SAN storage based on the RAIDIX platform.
In addition to the functional characteristics, RAIDIX took care of a significant simplification of system setup and management procedures for a user - automatic detection of connected drives (simplifies installation, eliminates manual disks tuning during setup), improved multilingual user interface and an option to enable LED disk indicator from the user interface (allows to determine hard disk compliance with the displayed device user interface).
