New XL2 Universal Media Server offers FLV support

Dutch leading streaming media specialist Jet Stream BV introduces StroboScope, a uncapped technology to stream FLV files. StroboScope is available per today, as an integrated service in the XL2 Universal Media Server range.
Now available as an integrated technology in XL2 Media Server: StroboScope, a powerful service to stream Flash Video files.
StroboScope technology was researched late 2005 by international Flash developers to offer uncapped and affordable FLV streaming without the need for Flash Media Server.
Stroboscope allows random access to any part of the FLV on the server. It's not just a gimmick: the very same technology is used by giants such as Google Video.
Jet Stream BV, Dutch streaming media pioneer since 1994 and market leader in professional Media Distribution technologies & services has adopted, improved and integrated this unlimited FLV streaming technology into it's line of professional XL2 Media Servers, branding the technology 'StroboScope'.
Per today StroboScope is available as integrated part of the professional line of XL2 Media Servers, allowing all existing and future customers to publish FLV streaming media files (and of course MP4, WMV, 3GP, MOV, etc) in a single, protected, user account and stream all these files directly, regardless if they have a basic XL2 Media Server or a large scale CDN.
With StroboScope you can now now offer uncapped and extremely affordable streaming of FLV files for any size customer: all existing XL2 Media Servers can be upgraded with StroboScope at no additional costs.
To enable use of the StroboScope service, owners of the XL2 Media Server and customers of the StreamZilla hosting services only need a StroboScope enabled Flash Video Player, which is offered at a one-time 60 euros fee and will be included for free in each new Xl2 Media Server sold.
Customers can redesign, enhance, script and integrate their own StroboScope enabled Flash Media Player by obtaining the StroboScope FLA. The company also offers advanced players, with features such as clickable thumbnail indexes, so it's easy for a user to select each item in a video.
