NAB sees Operators Encouraged to take the UUX 90-Day Challenge

UUX enables network operators to migrate from on-premise to the cloud, or launch a new end-to-end Internet TV platform in 90 days or less

London and Miami(01 Apr 2014)

UUX, the company that provides operators with cloud-based TV solutions and platforms that deliver the Ultimate User eXperience over mobile and fixed networks, today announced that NAB will see it encouraging operators to take the UUX 90-day challenge to move to its cloud-based Internet TV platform.

The 90-day challenge is based upon UUX’s claim that in just 90 days it can:
  • Launch a new cloud-based iTaaS (internet TV as a Service) offering for mobile operators without an existing PayTV service, or
  • Provide the migration path for existing IPTV, Cable and other Pay TV operators who are keen to deliver next generation multi-screen experiences from the cloud.

“The unique combination of our cloud-based Internet TV solutions means that we’re the quickest route for any operator moving to the cloud or launching a brand new Internet TV service,” says Lou Schwartz, CEO, UUX. “We have proven with our iTaaS deployment for Telenor Hungary that we can get a new operator ‘on air’ in 90 days. NAB sees us extend the UUX 90-day challenge to include existing operators with legacy on-premise equipment and services seeking cloud-based multi-screen distribution.”

The UUX end-to-end iTaaS (Internet TV as a Service) cloud-based offering is incredibly flexible, has virtually no CAPEX and can be deployed in 90 days. The UUX platform is built on the philosophy that initial user engagement with video is increasingly taking place outside the living room - on one or more connected devices. With its unique smartphone-based user interface, the UUX solutions enable a whole new approach to discovery, control and consumption of Live and Catch-Up television and Video-on-Demand (VoD) content across all Internet connected devices and screens.

UUX also provides mobile and fixed operators with a set of applications that integrate with existing video distribution ecosystems to migrate effortlessly to cloud-based OTT delivery of live TV, catch-up TV and VoD entertainment services.

“Visitors to our NAB demo suite will be able to witness first hand why we’re so confident that we can get operators on the cloud in just 90 days. Perhaps more importantly, NAB will also see us demonstrate how our cloud-based solutions enable operators to maximize OTT profits through increased flexibility and the removal of CAPEX,” concluded Schwartz.
