Epic Labs selected as an Akamai Media Technology Partner for VOD Transcoding

Epic Labs announced today that it has been qualified by Akamai, the intelligent edge platform for securing and delivering digital experiences, as a VOD transcoding Media Technology Partner.
LightFlow by Epic Labs™ comprises a suite of API-based video optimizing solutions that helps publishers to improve their video streaming workflow with the goal of increasing user engagement and reducing operating costs.
- LightFlow Optimizer Suite helps publishers to increase the perceptual quality of video content while reducing its payload.
- LightFlow Cloud Transcoding Services automate the transcoding tasks by automatically inheriting profiles from the Akamai platform.
Epic Labs’ has integrated their products with Akamai NetStorage and Adaptive Media Delivery to provide customers with solutions for delivering the highest quality VOD end user experience.

As part of the vetting procedure for Akamai’s Media Technology Partner program, Epic Labs’ LightFlow technology has been validated against Akamai’s requirements for VOD transcoding. Akamai oversees this program to ensure that its partner’s software and services meet the high-quality standards set and required by Akamai.
