Envivio Showcases Services from Customers Belgacom and Prisa TV at IBC 2013

TV Partout and Yomvi connected TV and multi-screen services on display at booth #1.D73

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands(13 Sep 2013)

Envivio (NASDAQ: ENVI), a leading provider of software-based video processing and delivery solutions, today announced that its demonstrations at booth #1.D73 during the IBC Show in Amsterdam (September 13-17) will include live connected TV and any-screen services from customers Belgacom (Belgium) and Prisa TV (Spain).

The TV Partout service from Belgacom is the Belgian telecommunications service provider’s multi-screen service delivering more than 30 channels to subscribers’ smartphones, tablets and computers. Viewers can enjoy popular channels in excellent HD quality thanks to the Envivio Muse Live and Muse On-Demand encoders, and also enjoy advanced features such as remote recording. Envivio Halo network media processors are also used by Belgacom for packaging video assets into various streaming formats.

Belgacom is adding functionality that enhances the viewing experience for all of its subscribers. Belgacom believes in Envivio’s converged architecture and advanced video processing solutions that allow them to scale the linear and VOD services and to provide more content, as well as to reach more viewers and more screens.

Launched in 2012, the Yomvi connected TV and mobile video service from Prisa TV in Spain reaches more than two million customers in the country, via over-the-top (OTT) delivery of video content to Internet-connected devices. The HD and SD content for the Yomvi service is compressed and streamed by Envivio Muse software-based encoders. At the IBC 2013 show, Envivio will showcase the Yomvi connected TV and iPad apps on its booth #1.D73.

“Envivio software provides outstanding video quality while also giving us the reliability and flexibility we needed for the Yomvi connected TV service,” said José Amselem, communications director for Prisa TV. “Over the past year, we have enhanced the service to add support for additional devices, and Envivio’s solution has accommodated the expansions seamlessly.”

“Leading Tier 1 operators in Europe including Belgacom and Prisa TV select Envivio software-based solutions for the versatility, video quality, feature set and reliability we are able to provide from a single system. We are pleased to showcase these innovative operators’ services at the upcoming IBC show,” said Sarah Lum, vice president of marketing communications for Envivio.
